Maintenance
KSS is not possible without the help of volunteers. Without you, it’s impossible to maintain the 50 miles of trail scattered throughout south central Kansas.
Our work is never done. Nearly every month of the year there is something to do on our trails. The busiest time of the year for KSS is April through July, which is the bulk of the growing season, During this time we spray, mow, trim and cut back vegetation. November through January we will be blowing leaves off trails. All year long, trees will fall, and face slappers will grow, dirt needs to be moved, berms need to be rebuilt.
Improvements
We always have ideas for new routes and features at our trails. These things take time and manpower to implement. We follow the IMBA Trail Building Guidelines.
